Valérie Dayre published her first book in 1989. She has since written over fifteen highly-acclaimed children’s books which have been translated into many languages. C’est la vie, Lili won the Prix Sorcière (the main French children’s prize) and, in translation, the 2006 German Youth Literature Prize. That’s Life, Lily is the first of her novels to be published in English. She lives in Berry in central France.
