Faber to publish third children’s book by Chloe Daykin
Faber Children’s will be releasing Chloe Daykin’s third novel for children this summer. Fire Girl, Forest Boy, set in the Peruvian rainforest, is the story of two children, one running away, one running home. Tensions rise as ancient myth meets the modern world.
Editorial Director Alice Swan bought world rights from Catherine Clarke at Felicity Bryan Associates as part of a two book deal. Editor Stella Paskins says “Chloe has raised the bar with this magnificent adventure set in the Amazon rainforest. The characters are not only on a physical journey, they are also on a journey of the soul as modern world corruption collides with ancient beliefs.”
Chloe Daykin said “I’m delighted to be bringing out Fire Girl, Forest Boy with Faber who have commissioned such a striking David Litchfield cover and are a fantastic team! I love the other-worldly ethos of Peru and I hope this book offers readers a magical and thrilling read for the summer!”
Fire Girl, Forest Boy will be released in July in paperback.
